Wondering why Finder is using 1.2 GB of real memory. Second place confusion goes to mds for using 277 MB of real memory.
Just finished the last of my delicious, delicious birthday cake. Remind me never to take one home again—I’m at least 200 lbs heavier now.

Looks like I’m allergic to lobster and shrimp, at least.
Still waiting for the doctor, who is 36 minutes late. Looks like I’ll be late for the appointment that follows.
Microsoft Word 2008: A terrible program, or the worst program?
Surprisingly tired. I wonder if it’s related to scarfing cough drops all day.
Trying out Quicken Online, since it can access all of my accounts (and Mint can’t).
As we used to say in the biz, gearing up for a big push.
Wishing that most of the Stanford part-of-speech tagger’s methods didn’t declare that they threw Exception. It makes error handling… bad.
Starting final preparations for presenting this assignment. It’s not going to be pretty, but I’m going to give it my best.
Just realized that Backblaze unpaused itself and may have uploaded as much as 2 GB (gasp!) on CMU’s network. Expecting a shutoff notice.
Wondering if there’s some kind of filter I can apply for these “Yellow Pages” spam books that keep showing up at our door.

And… heading to 451 homework. Closing the laptop and sticking it in the backpack.
Taking a brief recharge nap before diving in to 451.
Hoping to not keep me and @ellen_s up all night with coughing again.
Just bought the MacHeist 3 bundle. If you’re buying it, too, I’d appreciate it if you used my invite link: http://bit.ly/ClEB6
Way psyched to start grilling on the table top charcoal grill that @ellen_s got me for my birthday!
Downloading OmniGraphSketcher.
Just realized that the Cocoa documentation uses en dashes to indicate instance methods.
Finding out which forums know my email address and birthday.
Up and coughing. Would prefer to be sleeping and silent.
After spending a long time looking at the diffs on http://www.lkozma.net/wpv/ and correcting vandalism, will never trust Wikipedia again.
For example: http://bit.ly/VzDuO. How do I know if this is fact-correction or vandalism?
(http://tinyurl.com/cb3frz says it was vandalism.)
Wondering why iTunes is offering to sell me songs that it already knows I have: http://twitpic.com/2e8qi
Starting up Vista / Cool dread touches every bone / The loon cries softly
Just talked to an E*TRADE rep who had such high response latency that I think I may have been involved in a Turing Test.
Just had one of my genius thoughts: “What if Google had a Google Voice for email?” At least it only took me a few seconds to figure it out…
Happy to announce that I’ll be an intern this summer in the Objective-C group at Apple!
So far, failing to understand what’s supposed to make Visual Studio so great. Does it just make Windows programming hurt less? Not sure.
As a result of the actions described in the previous tweet, am now feeling quite fat.
Too much late-night snacking. Ugh.
Upgrading to Google Voice! Woohoo!
Wishing that Google would port my GrandCentral account over to Google Voice.
Thinking that maybe I shouldn’t have clicked “View 3,351 comments” on my Facebook page. It’s the first time I’ve seen a Facebook error.
Embarrassed. And not for me. http://tinyurl.com/dzxau3
Wondering why Vista in VMware decided to get all extra-ugly all of a sudden: http://twitpic.com/282c5
General Tso’s Overload.
Would like to try iPhone OS 3.0 on my phone, but I’m worried about what it means to be “locked” into “testing mode”.
Not sure if I just did something stupid or something cool.
Waiting patiently to get my hands on the iPhone 3.0 beta.
Trying to figure out if today is a shorts day or not.
Excited for iPhone 3.0 announcements tomorrow. It feels a bit like Christmas Eve.
Alive and well at PIT. Special thanks to Ellen, iPhone Monopoly, and “What Would Google Do”?
Gearing up to board. Decided against Advil PM, so I can work later. Anxious as all hell. See you all at noon in Pittsburgh.
Wishing I hadn’t taken my last two Xanax pills before the flight out of SRQ that I didn’t end up taking. Now my best hope is Advil PM. Hrm.
Up early to drive to Tampa for the new flight to Pittsburgh. I don’t feel like I slept at all; too nervous about flying.
Er, before? I was hanging out at the *Rod* and Reel, not the Road and Reel. And the food was delicious, with a side of STS-119.
